Animal activists invade a laboratory with the intention of releasing chimpanzees that are undergoing experimentation, infected by a virus -a virus that causes rage. The naive activists ignore the pleas of a scientist to keep the cages locked, with disastrous results. Twenty-eight days later, our protagonist, Jim, wakes up from a coma, alone, in an abandoned hospital. He begins to seek out anyone else to find London is deserted, apparently without a living soul. After finding a church, which had become inhabited by zombie like humans intent on his demise, he runs for his life. Selena and Mark rescue him from the horde and bring him up to date on the mass carnage and horror as all of London tore itself apart. This is a tale of survival and ultimately, heroics, with nice subtext about mankind's savage nature. .
Wow! Loved it! Definitely agree with everyone! This is one of the better zombie apocalypse movie I've ever seen! Great watch! Not your average zombie flick.
I usually don't like it when I read reviews of a good movie and see a lot of nit pickers who critisize a movie solely for a small plot hole or two and then give it a thumbs down for these small critiques but I think this 'nit pick' needs to be said by someone.
Hmmmm, a virus that makes people soo angry that they attack anyone .....well, they don't attack just anyone ,they only attack people who are not angry themselves (go figure).
If it wasn't for this fact I could easily give this movie a 4/5 rating.
This movie was really good. Its scary,fairly original, and highly entertaining. One of the best horror movies of the decade and probably one of the best zombie movies
This is a very good movie, however 28 WEEKS LATER is even BETTER. 28 WEEKS LATER made my jaw drop, why isnt it UP HERE?????? Please post links for that movie, you would be doing a favor to mankind :D
