This movie should have never been remade, especially if it was going to end up being like this. What a total piece of trash this film was, shitting all over everything Robert Englund every performed in as Freddy. This guy, doesn't know how to give personality to the glove like Robert did. Can you believe they were supposed to get Billy Bob Thorton or Bill Mosley to play Freddy in this film and one of them actually would have done a superior job playing this role compared to this guy. BTW, freddy was a child killer not a child molester & he worked at the boiler room plant; he didn't ever work at a kindergarten! Someone, should have done there research before getting behind the camera and shooting this crap!
sorry but compared to the superior original this just doesn't compare. the visuals are cool however but the problem is horror movies are not supposed to look cool there bettr when the budget is super cheap and the villain isn't really seen.
the original was the perfect crrepshow experience. this one is too flashy. it's like a music video made into a movie.
I fought long and hard over whether or not to watch this one. I am a big fan of horror movies, and a huge fan of the original Nightmare movies. That being said, I'll give this one a 3/5. It was definitely a better remake than the Friday the 13th one. It was good for a one time watch, but there were just too many things I didn't like. The biggest and most important was the new Freddy make-up. Paint him blue and he looked like one of the characters from Avatar. Some of the worst burn makeup I've seen. I did like the subtle changes, as I am not a fan of shot for shot remakes, but the changes weren't enough to make me cross over. Robert Englund is and always will be Freddy Kruger.
Well, you can't watch this movie expecting to see the original version. If you do, you are going to be disappointed!! The whole thing of a remake is to give a new and or different version of the original. I think they definitely achieved that with this movie. This one was definitely darker than the original, and Freddy was a lot more fucked up all around!! It's definitely worth a watch even if you swear by the original, you will enjoy this one too. They used quite a few of the original scene ides too. A definite thumbs up... 3/5
I didnt really like this the freddy was rubbish i didnt like him he wasnt even scary the originals are way better i suppose this is an alright film to watch if you have nothing else to do
Hmm, I didn't really like this. I personally don't think they should have done this re-make as it was never going to be as good as any of the originals. This new Freddy is crap! Watch it if you have nothing else to do, or better yet go find one of the original movies to watch instead....much better than this. 1/5
