another good film. it sets the tone for the sequel, which was actually the first film. ACTION, good story, good acting... etc BASICALLY THIS IS A PREQUEL to Death Race 1. it gets my vote 4/5

the point is... they still should have had Jason Statham in the movie... it was amazing with him the last time.. and to not see him.. well.. it just got really confusing is all... and if they were going for frankenstein's story... then the girl and everything would have been the same... but they switched everything... that's why i am saying that Death Race 2 should have been a follow up on Death Race 1... i just couldn't get my head around the fact that Jason wasn't in the movie... hmm... just thought of something... take the Crank era... Jason is the Main Character... Crank 1 and Crank 2.. then your saying the character should have been switched out like they did with Boondock Saints 1 with Boondock Saints 2... i mean really... how many got pissed off the brother in 1 wasn't in 2? i know i was... it was just really unexpected... like i said... they tried to fix characters.. but really failed..

It was a good movie, I like the fact on how they should death race become death race and actually what it was before that, though I still prefer number one, I like the ending though, they all had it coming, and at the beginning the chase part was fun to watch, over all it was a worth while movie in my opinion, but everyone has there own opinions.
i don't care how you look at it.... the actors were both a bit similar... and jason statham is an amazing actor.. and just expected him to be in Death Race 2... and if it was like a StarWars movie then it would have been Death Race Episode VI... but it wasn't... it started from one... so it's out of order....they made a mistake of Death Race 2... that should have been the first one played then... not Death Race... so sorry but still wrong... and yeah.. i'm right... Death Race should have continued off from Death Race1... and yes.. jason statham should have been in that movie... so once again... DEATH RACE 2>>> YOU FAILED!
Well what's the problem with having a two based before the one? Just like the fast and Furious movies, it goes 5,4,1,2,3 that doesn't go in order, it's not like a movie has to go in order and that if it doesn't it has to be named with the number it fits with.
sorry to say.. but Death Race 1 was so much better than Death Race 2.. all i could say is "Where is Jason Statham??" Death Race 1 was way better in comparison to the 2nd one... besides the fact they tried to get another actor that would still have the appearance to Jason Statham... this was rediculous... i can't even bare to say anymore... here's my rating... 0/10 sorry but i don't feel this to be any way of a good movie.. i got excited over nothing... Ok look at it this way you tard, think of these death race movies as Star Wars movies, they didn't do them in order. They DIDN'T get someone who "Looks like Jason Statham" because that would ruin the "First" movie, in the first movie he was a REPLACEMENT for Frankenstein remember? or did you not watch the movie, just Jasons' ass? So if you would have paid attention, this Frankenstein dies and Jason takes his position secretly. Your 0/10 rating is invalid and you should quite frankly shove it up your ignorant ass.
Frankenstein, taking it back to the original movie ( Death Race 2000 ), ( David Carradine ), played Frankenstein, should be some more hopefully let's hope they follow on from this.
they can't or proberablly won't make any more deathracefilms as the story has been told perfectly in both the films but i agree they could do i just dont think they will
i liked death race 1 beter i saw it like 4 years ago. but idk i was hopeing death 2 would continue the story of the first death race but it was just a whole new cast and plot i was a bit confused 3/5
GREAT MOVIE 9.5/10. Just surprised why it didnt come out in cinema's. Death Race 1 I would give 9.9/10 tho, as this movie was about the story to frankenstein, the other movie shows more of the death racing competition.
Still both a MUST WATCH MOVIE. Will notbe dissapointed if you watched the first 1 and liked it xD
no offense to you lot who didn't like it but are you blind?! my oppinion is that it is a good film telling us about Frankenstien and who he originally was. it has way more violence in it and i think they should just make a deathmatch movie its self.i would pay for deathfight. still tho the film is good, hot babes, fast cars violence 10/10 for me!! only let down Frankenstien isn't Jason statham =(. 10/10 good film. thanks for reading!
Thx for the movie but it sucked! Had to quit half way through it.. Nothing special at all.. DR 1 was original, story line so much better, and acting better as well. Seems like someone just found some scraps of the old movie that was thrown away and put this one together.. Even using the same old cars. And y was list in this movie? This movie didn't make sense and was horrible.. 2/10.. and 2 because of the beautiful women..
