Think the movie was a good movie, for the compact shooting in the elevator the cast and crew should be recognized. The story could have been a bit better (deeper) but all in all not a bad watch 3.5/5
I like psychological thrillers and supernatural stories so it was not a disappointment. The ending could have a bit more to it but overall, it was a decent movie. 3/5
If The Devil does not exist, then neither does God! can't have one without the other, considering that it was God that meant to have banished Lucifer AKA The Devil down to Hell which is Lucifer's domain, so if your a bible bashin god head then sorry dude..... but your bubble just got burst :)
Been looking forward to watching this for a while now. It wasn't as good as it could have been, not enough scary moments for my liking. It was ok though 7/10
7/10, This is worth a watch. I love how it has you thinking the whole movie and wondering whos next and whos is the evil one lol. They could of done better though on the Gore and made it more bloodier. I was scared at times. I reccomend this for sure. Anyway hope i helped you. Check me out on youtube, search John E Memphis.... I saw the trailer for this when I went to see Inception and it looked good, but I lost all hope when I saw who the director was. Now actually taking the time to watch it, I enjoyed it. Very good plot and acting.
this was a surprise ! Nowadays it's hard to find a good horror movie, but this one really had me shook ! I'm not into devil stories, so at first I wasn't gonna watch. But I heard some good stories and I must say, they are right.
Most of the movie was set in an elevator, but that doesn't bother AT ALL.! Had some jumpy moments, some goosebumps, some fear, some excitement. Held my attention until the end, wasn't distracted whatsoever, and went by way too fast! The fear of the unknown, and not knowing wtf is happening - THATS what I like to see...and this movie did me proud.
Even though the ending for me could have been better, it did somewhat surprise me (if you're familiar with devil movies, this isn't new but hey)
Why a 9/10? It had every element a good horror movie should have: suspense, elegant gore (too much is never good), great acting, surprise ending, good storyline and jumpy moments.
Idc what anyone says this was a good movie. The acting was nice and i really enjoyed the story. 7/10 I would recommend this, but you might wana wait for a better copy. sometimes its hard to hear them.
i guess it was ok, i prefer my horrors that arn't full of cgi and more phychological. but this was just ok. i agree with some of the comments, they did well seeing it was fimed almost completely in an elevator. 3/5 worth a watch
I love his (M. Night) creative mind! I did not really enjoy this particular film, as much as I have with most of his other works. Good idea, bad acting/directing.
for a movie with a limited plot device(a lift) it was well paced, nice conclusion and good acting,it is a one watch/trick movie sadly, however its not a long film either, i recommend if tention in a horror appeals more than scares.
it left me the way some of his others have .... I think I liked it. It was a good flick and of course the trademark twist was there and it all seems like it should be a great movie but theres just something not right, something i can't put my finger on. I give it a 6/10 maybe a 7, it did hold my interest pretty good.
I really loved Unbreakable an the Sixth sense, sadly, can't say the same for Symanlan's latest movie. The Devil is predictable, badly acted and is overall a pathetic excuse for a horror movie.
shymalan is a one trick pony, every movie has a twist just like the last.This movie is an awfu no imagination same old twist.I worked it out straight away! all shymalans films are shit and so is he!
Ive been looking forward to watching this but the sound is so bad that u can barely make out whats being said will there be better versionsup which we can actually hear and see coz it always seems to be 1 or the other that makes the movies unbearable to watch i know i shouldnt complain as much considering i get to watch some amazing copies for free but it can be frustrating

Firstly this is not directed by shamalyan he produced it created the story so it is not like other shamalyan films. However if you watch this in the cinema like i did you would see it it beautifully filmed .The acting is pretty good and the story is tense in parts. It also comes together nicely at the end. I would give it 8 out of 10 and recommend cinema viewing.

Ok Guys. Firstly remember Shyamalan did not direct this movie. He did the story and produced it so the movie does have a different feel to it. However I personally enjoyed this movie which I saw in the cinema last night. It was beautifully shot and some nice twists. It was tense at times and the ending was well put together. I cam out of the cinema extremely happy. Enjoy. 8 out of 10
LIsten, I am not sure who has control over what adds are being displayed on these different sites that show these movies, but listening the facebook wheel of fortune repetively while watching a movie is the equivalent of Chinese water torture. Oh and the sound was from the movie was lacking as well, impossible to watch and enjoy, if you can't fix this pass along the message to others sites and/or administrators who can.
