OOhh i loved that bit. The pill ....I want it....I have watched so much crap over the years with that i would kick bruce lee's ass!! Lol. This movie was awsome! I have now watched it a few times and i still enjoy it!
words definitely can discribe how brilliant this movie is its almost like wallstreet money never sleeps meets idk rainman minus the pills its crazy to see a another actor go toe to toe with deniro and still hold his own the ending was amazin how he pretty much shut him down and told who was gonna end up playin the b!@#$ ha. Also i saw a comment sayin how the ending was stupid and how it shouldnt have ended that way but words cant describe the lengths of what this man was about to do matter a fact everything before the ending should have let u know what this man was about to do.
I've read comments about people hating on this movie stating how the ending sucked or it took to long to get to the action. For the first *no spoiler* how can you object to such an awesome ending that lets you imagine the outcome? To the second it got to the action when it needed to even though it seemed mediocre by movie standards it was "real" in that it was how things might actually happen.
There is actually a pill somewhat similar to the one in the movie in development that allows you to go without sleeping or eating until the side effect of having to eat kicks in with apparently no side effects.
Ok... 1st off, why would he put his entire stash of pills in his coat and why on earth would he let it out of his sight??(At a precinct of all places!!) 2nd... Whose freakin' hands were mailed to him??? Cool movie but the ending totally SUCKED!!!!!! 6/10 Word...
I felt like i was watching a boring movie like the social network for the first hour. It was no excitement or action and i couldn't pay attention. 60 mins in the movie the action began and so did the excitement great ending terrible beginning.

this was a fun movie to watch. cooper as the lead actor, made it good and watchable. he brings alot to this charactor. andd with de niro as the supporting actor....how can you go wrong. the idea/story was awesome, and kept you wanting more. thumbs up all around......4/5, enjoy!
Limitless I thought was one of the best movies of the year. Bradley Cooper's best movie yet. Nice to see him take on a different role than his comedy roles. Great thriller leaves you guessing what's going to happen and on the edge of your seat. The only thing was I thought Deniro's character could have been in the movie a little more.
Now this is good,this is very good. Not that I need a brain-boost,but I could get up to much wickidness on this. A good,original Sci-Fi thriller,must watch,4/5.

Very interesting movie with a lot of good ideas. I feel any bad reviews are simply down to people being unable to follow the plot, or perhaps piece together the information that IS given to you. Some people saying the ending was to... uneventful, but i think most of you (like me) who watch this movie will be putting yourselves in the shoes of the main character. So to me - the ending was great. Who doesn't want to have their cake, and eat it? Sure, the overall scope of the movie may seem a little lax considering the potential of this 'Wonder Drug', but what a human can and can't do with his or her own mind, is always limited to the boundaries of an individuals potential. Hence why: the european gangster simply applied his brain to doing what he does best - being a criminal. Anyway, overall a truly great and original movie. Well worth watching perhaps more than once, I know i will be.
Personally i haven't watched the film but as i've heard from my fellow mates this was a quiet interesting movie.I believe them because they see it with other point of view because they are Actors :)
I must concur. One faces a certain juxtaposition sometimes,To Watch Or Not To Watch. However,when pre-armed with the benefit of the truly great,i.e."one's fellow mates",especially when they are "Actors",who shall remain un-named,(contractual),one has acquired an insightful fore-knowledge and therefore feels no need,nay desire,to watch. I feel it though,in my bottom :)
one of the onluy good thrillers in my opinion but i think the ending kinda sucked - perhaps there's a sequel coming out or perhaps you just got to use your imagination
VaBchManDon.. that's just one of the many unanswerd questions. There are so many holes in this story line. Who killed the brother?.. Who killed the girl in the hotel and why?.. Was Eddie just at the wrong place at the wrong time?.. Or did someone try to set him up. Or did Eddie kill her?..Why give Eddie a love interst, when her total screen time was I believe under 15 minutes, she was pointless. The Cop HUH??? He is suppose to be solving two murders, yet you see him a total of maybe one minute through the whole movie and the story line of the two murders, actually ends up just getting dumped. and what frick happen to Eddies book?... spoiler alert...all your questions are SO easy, this is what stupid people hate about movies, just because everything isn't played out in the movie doesn't mean that there aren't answers given. ONE- the body guard for the other guy clearly killed Vernon looking for more pills because that is what he was hired to do. TWO- The girl was either killed by Eddie or the bodyguard also because the lawyer says someone wiped the hotel room clean. THREE- Eddie's love interest is tied in from the very beginning of the movie and plays a critical role in his motivation and plot for the whole movie. FOUR- The cop is a small role for the movie, the first murder is called in by Eddie showing he could have fled the scene but called the police and stayed, and the second murder the detective clearly tried to lock Eddie up but his lawyer had the line-up with similar men so he didn't have anything to hold him on. FIVE Last and probably the easiest of all the book, when Lindy asks Eddie about the book at dinner, he says his book is coming out next year. I mean comman he straight up says that one, even someone like you should get that one GAMERCHIC. It's called connect the dots.
**SPOILER ALERT** @gamerchick: alot of the answers to your questions are implied, such as the brother's death who appeared to be caused by someone seeking more of the pills as they ran out(I believe the killer to be the bodyguard/assistant with the cut on his face for the dude who goes into coma and dies as he has ran out of the pills, because was it not mentioned that the guy in coma had previously rose up out of nowhere very similar to how the main character did after taking the pill also he had symptoms of withdrawl by limping and needing a cain however not elderly) the girl in the hotel died while eddie had blacked out as he later mentioned when he stopped drinking and eating correctly this corrected his blackouts, I would assume he killed her while being blacked out. I believe the love interest served her purpose in that at one point after she herself had taken the pill she seemed disgusted that this was the reason for Eddie's success and implied she couldn't be with him while he was on this drug yet he assured her he had a plan to get off...at the end he mentioned he was living a new life and the girlfriend appearing at the end would also imply to me that he was no longer on this pill and had found a way to maintain his brillance without relying on the pill...setup for a sequel? perhaps. This is just what made sense to me, disagree if you'd like.
This movie started out with so much potential, but about 30 minutes into it, It ran out of gas. They had everything they needed to make a smart and clever kick ass movie, but someone missed the boat on this one. Smart and Clever was the top ingredients to make this movie not only good, but convincing, and I saw none of the above. (Cleverness).. If I had my hands on such a powerful drug that gave me the ability of super high intelligence, and I wanted it hidden, would it not of made more sence for Eddie to split up his stash in store them into different hiding places, so when he ran out, or stolen he always has a back up stash, then there were of been no need to drink the blood of a dead man to save his own life.( BTW the sene nearly made me loose my dinner). ... (Smart) If Eddie has the ability to read or look at somthing and learn what ever he reads or sees with in a matter of minutes or hours, then you would think Eddie would have the smarts to learn chemistry and study medicine, and then be able to reverse the negitive side effects of the drug NZT. Why pay someone else 2 million dollars to try to figure it out. There so many other little things that I could put out, but what ever. The movie was just not smart. The cast not the best, Robert Deniro, what the hell is happening to him. He was lifeless in this movie, I expected more from him. Maybe he should just stick to what he he does best, killing people. The movie is not all that bad, there are some fun visuals, I got a laugh or two. But It's sad too see when someone has all the ingredients to make a great soflay but in the end comes out with a bunt cake. 3 out of 5... That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
l couldn't agree with you more, and why didn't he pay off the man who lent him the money as soon as he made it, he clearly said he knew he was a person not to mess up with when he took the money, yes l too thought it could have been a much better movie in a lot of places, and the end confused me..great comment!!! A very enjoyable movie. Well worth the watch. I liked the ending too. I was hoping he didn't die in the end.

I really loved that movie... as a hypnotist, some very strange phenomenon have happened to me and my clients...Having conversations with the subconscious mind, many answers come to fruition if one can pay the price of entry. Like a mental athlete you or I can gain deep wisdom. Only true motivation is required and the ability to stay on the horse. Many people in the movie died cause of there horse riding style was un-holistic... only out main character did so well, and even he was coming close to the end many times. ALCHEMY-
i was waiting to see this for ages, its a great film but is it just me or did it just come to a grinding halt at the end, seemed a little too quick, like they just couldnt be bothered anymore. id still give it an 8 but could have been better.
**SPOILER** I'm glad I'm not the only one that was confused at the end also. It feels like the movie wanted us to form our own conclusion. Since I used to do drugs in my past and experiencing similar experiences as he had in this movie, i believe he was still on it at the end. In the end, he mentioned that he found a way to extract the drug so there would be no ill side effects and it also made the drug last longer. Even though his ex girlfriend said that she wanted him to quit, she never mentioned or hinted that she was leaving him if he kept doing it. She stayed with him b/c of his power and money.
I know what you mean I was a bit confused at the ending tooo they had a good flow throughout the movie and then suddenly it just ended on a confusing note I don't even know if he is still on the pill or ifhe really just acquire abilities on his own as a result of having taken it for so long...I also couldnt see clearly if the girl in the end was the same girl he dated before or a new one I didnt watch it from the best quality...
Perhaps there is going to be a sequel? However, I got the impression that he had evolved to the person who could not be used, intimidated, or afraid any longer. What do you think?
This is a fantastic film definately worth 9/10 i started watching it about 2 in the morning expecting to fall asleep half way through but i was late for work in the morning instead lol. A must see.
this was a great movie the plot was very good and the actor brilliant. i really like how the director ended this movie, making the protagonist truly limitless 9/10
