Good Movie. Guy Pierce is a great alternative to Brad Pitt. Do you hear me ladies? This was a lot better than I expected. Action, suspense, comedy. Don't get scared off by Sci-Fi. I think you will be surprised. Very well acted.
Watched on Vidreel.. surprised to not see it at 100% since I think it is (or was) the best quality (very low pixels if ANY) and the loudest. And you want Loud if you're watching an action flick.
I will round this up to a 5/5 only because I was pleasantly surprised. :)
I watched version 2 vidreel... The only problem I had was that copy isn't high def. The pixelazation was off so some parts were blurry. I know it wasn't a issue w/ my pc. Because it's brand new and is HD. So, the movie over all was a 4.5/5 That copy is a 2/5
I think this movie was annihilated before it hit theaters by that comedian from the man show(a very good show btw). Practically sabotaging it. With a ruthless hysterical campaign which sunk this battleship before it was put to sea.
The fact is this movie is a copy of... Well lets be honest. There is at least a dozen movies crammed into this feature i know of off the top of my head including my personal favorite escape from N.Y. Setting it in space is kind of theft from the planned but aborted ESCAPE 3...
I guess if your going to steal. You should do so from the best.
But lets' face a reality here. Most movies are copies of copies anyway. Heck they've been remaking Frankenstein since the 40's. So who cares if your taking "parts" of other movies anyway... Everyone's doing it now. I guess we just ran out of things to invent.
Regardless of those facts "lockout" is an exhilarating piece of hardware. i have a sneaking suspicion that if it was created in say 1978. This would be hailed the greatest sci-fi movie of all time.
Acting is fun.
Special effects are good.
Direction and pace are relentless. This movie really doesn't fuss about. This is obviously a technical exercise not a dramatic one. This movie has one plan... ATTACK.
But the real star of this movie is the one liners. Having studied the art very closely i know good dialogue when i hear it. The mechanism resembles a tennis match when the ball bounces back and fourth never touching the ground. Good dialogue is damn hard to manufacture too. But when your movie has over 80 (most movies have at least 3) crack your side one liners... I've got to tip my hat.
As far as i am concerned go see this for the one liners. It will knock your eyeballs out.
The setting and visuals almost save this movie from it's corny comic book dialog. I mean, "central casting, send me something off the anti-hero rack." Geez!
you can not download on this site it is only for watching movies sorry but thats it as far as i have known and i love it so just enjoy it for what it is and again there is no downloading here get it yet ;o)
A light hearted fun film, sort of die hard in space. Guy pearce is great, the rest is'nt to bad. M 7/10 V 5/10 Watchable just A 5/10 Same as above but wih your ears.
