Maggie (Hathaway) is an alluring free spirit who won't let anyone - or anything - tie her down. But she meets her match in Jamie (Gyllenhaal), whose relentless and nearly infallible charm serve him well with the ladies and in the cutthroat world of pharmaceutical sales. Maggie and Jamie's evolving relationship takes them both by surprise, as they find themselves under the influence of the ultimate drug: love.
The movie has lots of scenes of the two leads in bed together, but it can't decide whether it's a big issue film, a romantic comedy or a weepy melodrama, so it ends up being none of them successfully.
Infinitely better than the other friends with bennefits movies of late.
I avoided this movie for the longest time. Didn't wanna give it a chance. Well, I gave it a chance & it actually touched my lil ole romantic heart, (Barf). Seriously, it was GREAT! If there is even the slightest bit of romanticism in u, this movie will bring it out. AND it's believable. 10/10
THE ACTORS WHERE FANTASTIC,THIS WAS SUCH A SPECIAL MOVIE WITH ALOT OF GREAT MESSAGES TO MOVE PEOPLE AND BE AWARE OF SENSITIVE SITUATIONS AS PARKINSONS,IT WAS SUPER WRIITTEN,FUNNY AT TIMES,I CRYED AT SOME PARTS,ROMANTIC,SEXY AND BOTH ACTORS HAD CHEMISTRY AND JUST SOOOO ROMANTIC
THIS MOVIE WAS BEAUTIFUL. THE WAY THE RELUCTANTLY FELL FOR EACH OTHER AND HOW HARD SHE PUSHED HIM AWAY. I WANT WHAT THEY HAD, ALL THE LOVE AND COMFORT, NONE OF THE HEALTH PROBLEMS. I CANT BELIEVE THE AMOUNT OF BOOB HATHAWAY PROVIDED. NOT COMPLAINING JUST SHOCKED. :X
First of its funny how there is a tag for Viagra XD haha had to point it out. Second the movie was cool (only word i can come up with) not really original. Felt like i seen something close.. very.. IT LOOKED THE SAME. Anyway its worth a watch.
10/10 ThisSurprised me because this movie was Amazing. I loved it even though im not a fan of any of the actors. Really makes yah still believe in love :) Nice ending too. I reccommend it. Good Copy To.
Ok, just do ya'll know. The commercials make it out to be a comedy. It is NOT a comedy. It is a semi-serious movie about a very serious disease. But it is a good movie. Gyllenhaal and Hathaway did an awesome job and I thought they were cute together.
