The story of Sam Childers, a former drug-dealing biker tough guy who found God and became a crusader for hundreds of Sudanese children who've been forced to become soldiers..
I think Childers is probably undecover. People dont really make the transformations that he did. Criminal/biker to preacher, Preacher to a well able to use a gun freedom fighter and a convienent and good movie about him. The story is too charmed to be normal life.
i liked the movie. however this childrens person has a few screws loose. as much as he has is agenda and saving the lives of many kids. it is all about him is some ways. putting his own intrests first, even before his family. i am not a religious person and for someone to 'find god' and goes to these extremes ( from drug-lord, to saving the world-vigilantism) makes me wonder...this guy is clearly, not all there. but enjoy the movie, i did!
This is the most beautiful movie I have seen. It takes so few problems out of 100 others and makes you see the reality. You won't regret watching this, and join in to make a change. I love Sam Childers, he seems to be about action. Saw on his website that hew set up a charitable organisation helping local people in the US as well. But the interest from media in making this film is probably to do with raising awareness about Kony in order to get at oil and not concern about Sudanese children as Terance says. It's a shame that Africans accepted Christian and Muslim religions, they successfully regulated their own populations in a natural way for millions of years. It's a fact that population figures have trippled alongside fammine since the interference of Europeans.
This movie sure does takes some leaps and bounds. You're watching wondering how is he going from a heroin shooter to preacher..preacher to freedom fighter...and the little girl singing about 20 mins in sounded so good if I wasn't watching the screen I would've thought it was an old Black lady...good movie.
What can I say? This was hard to watch at times, but it's one of those movies that everyone should watch.

uganda or not, it is not a REAL point, i think....The true power of the film is how it encourages us to feel like every individual is capable of overcoming his inner demons for the greater and better things in life. Him overcoming his addiction and way of life was like asking you right now to throw away everything you ever knew and loved, nomatter how selfish or hurtful it can be to ones you love. To put up with UNBEARABLE pain and suffering, worse then dying a dozen times and coming out as a true newborn man, a better human being....Truly inspiring! BRAVO HOLLYWOOD you actually let the right one through!

It is such a difficult thing to say and I know people will think I am a terrible person when I say this but it has to be said.WHY WHY are so many children created in countries where it NOT possible to feed and house them ? If the parents were not behaving like rabbits in heat then the children would not exist to be abducted.Education is the key.
well lets take about nature when a species is in danger of going extinct doesn't nature make more babies?now lets go political when the ppl were introduced to european culture it created a darkness that has destroyed there way of thinking and life like over grazing,war's, dictators, destorying habitat ect so u need to educate ur self and stop thinking 1 sided and what's being feed to u by mainstream so statements like that won't be feed to the masses
what about the people in the US that have kids and they molest them, or hurt them, or even have more then 3. What about the men that have more than one wife in the US and get them all pregnant. I can see ignorance still breeds here in the US as well.
Great movie, so touching he is truly a man of God. Doing the right thing and fighting for people who needs his help. I have truly learn something from, him, we all need to fight for God. And do what is right in his eye site...Amen!!!!
Small note: Throughout history man has always wanted to take over or enslave another man's/woman's property. Ppl have always wanted to enslave others if only for the small reason or love. It is the nature of the predator to try to enslave or take over another. Sad but true we are all just a product of this. Do a history check before you bag on races, kinds, etc.
@angelmary....very well said...A bit of sarcasm, but i agree with you, although partially, like mothang said, this have been going on for AGES... and untill the geopolitical and economic changes sweep the african continent, OR, greedy corporate and other profit seeking entities seeking to get more rich and powerful get kicked out from this land back to their lavish country estates, this type of atrocities will keep on coming....It is human nature in its most vulgar form. On one side the poor people will do anything to survive and on the other....Rich will do ANYTHING to keep exploiting the poor for as long as THEY can.... So, do YOU? see this resolve in the near future?! Well, im kinda hoping for dec 21, 2012 to shake some things up. OR... and dont laugh now, communism will work for them perfectly....just look at what communism did for russia and china in only 70 years...they went from predominantly poor and uneducated to superpowers of the world. Simply said, you built up your economy and infrastructure and things will change in the future for better, but if you keep on putting profits infront....then Uganda is in your future forcast ladies and gentlemen. Actually...to comment on the statement made by angelmary... Africans were doing this well before Europeans arrived :\ ...in fact, that is what triggered Europeans to start enslaving Africans. Tribes enslaved other tribes. African enslaved African... I do agree that all blacks are not evil tho...as we see in the movie :) But colonization did influence some of the behaviors we see today.
We need more people like Sam Childers in this cruel world, espeically with children still being abducted and sold into some form of slavery and cruelty. Very good movie that kept me interested from beginning to end.

No, he means that the links to movies are failing. I been experiencing it more and more..but I guess such sites re prone to links being cut, hacker nonsense, legalities etc etc.Rnewberry: I think they disable the comments sometimes becasue of the propensity by the few to be lewd, crude and rude....and the propensity by many more to be easily offended :)
Edited. There many links removed recently and many hosts are dead , we are working to replace them , For comments , as we said before we have some database issue and some time we just disable them.
Are u talking about reading peoples comments to a certain movie? If u are, I have the same prob. from time to time...so irritating!
