In a world ravaged by a virus infection, turning its victims into the Undead, Alice (Jovovich), continues on her journey to find survivors and lead them to safety. Sure some people call this series garbage and cite reasons stemming from lack of character development to ludicrous action sequences that defy logic to not following the games etc.. Though i am not a fan of movies that don't atleast try to be realistic(transformer series especially). there is a special place in my heart for this movie series.
Particularly this one and apocalypse. These movies are kind of like a sugar rush. A delicious treat for a nasty sweet tooth indeed is Resident Evil 4. Wth slowmo scenes, off the wall villains, kickbutt females in awesome comeheather getups. A villain that talks smack and backs it up and an ending that raises the stakes. This is the Resident Evil that stands out. Bigtime!
i don't care if these movie sets the world on fire at the box office nor do i care if the acting is three dimensional. I don't care if they follow the video games plot completly either. the thing i do want and the thing that makes this a series unlike any other is that it is fun as hell. it is ridiculous at times to be sure. But there is a strange innocence in theses movies that is so genuine. As i said it won't win oscars for originality i'm sure but it won a place in my heart.
Can't wait for part 5. As long as they keep making these movies i'll be happy.
I only planned to watch this movie because Wentworth Miller was in it. I must say in wasn't too bad.... the movie started off very slow at the beginning and picked up in the middle, It did lose my attention at some parts
This movie is garbage. It doesn't even make sense. She loses her powers at the start of the movie and yet can do all those "super" moves? Yeah right. You can tell no one wanted to be in this movie or even be a part of this movie. Poor story writing, poor acting and poor directing. :/ Glad I didn't pay to see this shit. All 3D does is put more depth to their failure.
Ya, sure she looses her powers in the Beginning of this one. But, before she had any powers in the 1st film, she could still fight like the tough woman she is!

How can some of u imbeciles giv this such a high rating , i have played every single res game and this is nothing like them apart from the namesake they are in a diff league. this film dreadful in every way acting, script, storyline, direction i get the feeling that they thought if they did it in 3d none of the above would matter...WRONG, and as a result look what happened.. but of course u real life Zombies will watch any crap. 1 half good thing about this film is the cast which is mediocre at best. PLEASE PPL 10/10 ratings are reserved for all time greats!!!
Look Dude, you are entitled to your own opinion to this movie and others,but just because others like it...Doesn't mean you should cut them down by calling them imbeciles!!! I would say, this movie is much better then all the others i have watched so far in the Resident Evil series. Its been a lovely experience to see more special effects in this one. i would give it 9.5/10 for the wonderful effects, displayed. Thanks for posting it, and God Bless.
By far the best of the Resident Evil movies they've made so far and i really liked the ending and hope there will be more, gave this one a 5/5 stars. It was just amazing it had lots of action and i say everyone should watch it. !!!
Great movie like all the rest...Mila Jovovick is hot as hell...I dont care of any1 thought it cartoon like but loved the big axe/hammer was cool as hell...To anyone who pointed out the deaths were pointless in this movie, think of the world being over-run with brain-dead maniacs...and then tell me any living life lost is not idiotic...watch it TOP CLASS
this was a great movie, like all previous resident evils, i give it a 10/10, and wow that big ugly MAMOTH of a zombie was scary as hell man hehehe, he is like a demon of hell. LOVED IT :)
Fun / Excellent Movie. I prefer slower movies with time to allow the story to open up via scenery...action movie yes, drama yes, nice locations and cool music yes and yes. perfect? maybe not yes...but a great movie...probaly fun to play the game too

SPOILER CAREFUL. Wasnt terrible but wasnt fantastic as i was hoping it would be. She lost her psychic powers within first ten mins. Half of the movie was them trying to get out of the building to the boat. Was too plain for my liking. They could have done better in my opinion to make this a awesome film. 3/5
i love resident evil and this movie was way awsome 10/10 for everything and btw to all u people who compare this awsome movie to shit like the "the matrix " you guys need to get some eyes ther was no comparison ther yeh the slowed bits down but thats it this film is soo not llike the matrix
I was expecting this to be the best and a longer movie, expected more action less talk, or atleast something darker but nope. Didn't get much action, too much talking, not enough zombies, no monster except the same ugly plant eater which looks bad, the same dogs but they split in half (ridiculous i might say), the big monster with an axe? Where the fuk did he get an axe that big, t looked so cartoonish I was almost laughin, I would had been more belivable that he had idk claws he was so weak it almost made me want to kick the creator, the only cool scene is when the clones are falling and when it starts off, after that it was so lame, sorry but not the best mediocre action movie 6 out of 10 would have expected better action, longer and better mosters.
If you had read anything leading up to this movie you would know that all of the ones before this were made for people to watch as movies, this one was made more for people who play the games.

Its very easy, basically you click on one of the links that takes you to the website the movie is going to be shown on, when the link opens it isvery likely to ask you a quetion wether your human or not, which you have to click yes or i agree to. Then thepage where your movie is going to be on is going to open, but some other pages are going to open to, which are called pop-ups which you probably know, you close the popups which mostly are pages of poker, online dating and some erotic chat lines, and click play on the movie, and thats it. But some times the page where the momvie is will sometimes turn into a white screen and adverts will be on it, dont close this page because at the top right of that page a link will probably appear there to force you to wait three seconds and then you will be able to click it, click that link and you will be taken back to the movie and ENJOY!.

You guys are saying this movie was good. Well I beg to differ, while yes the action scenes were pretty good, i must say the amount of idiotic deaths is overwhelming. They killed off so many characters when it became convienient. Engineer guy when he can't fix the vehicle, Wesker as soon as he makes Alice human, Perv guard to introduce copy and paste zombie from games, Cute cook right after she gets out of the water, Asian right when he decides he's claustrophobic (By another copy and paste zombie from the games, which while fine in the game is definately not practical in the movie. I mean really, big executioner guy with a giant axe in the middle of Hollywood?), Basketball star, hey, why not we're on a roll. I'm sorry but that's kind of retarded.

Matrix is one of the best movies of all time and you know it so .....SHUT UP! Res Evil is an awesome movie with an "original idea" AUGMENTED!!!!! People who hate on the Matrix are still slaves and are still "unplugged"...... Fans of the Matrix and Res Evil see a similarity...but not quite. If ya'll are hatin..;.then by all means go back to your Star Wars Saga....until then I repeat SHUT UP!!!!
Saw this in theaters. It's better than the 3rd movie i'll tell you that.
This movie was actually great, but since im a fan of the games, i think Claire and Chris should've had more screen and action time.
I don't like how Alice did all the work with Wesker Also some scenes just dragged on with the slow motion, guess they couldn't really come up with anything else.
but aside from some of these things, it was great. 8.5/10

I agree the movie was sick, but it was not long enough it could have been a little longer and told a little more of the story. There is no comparison both movies are in a league of their own and yes avatar was the best 3D movie ever! Thanks for this post and this is the best movie site yet.
you compare this to matrix? please... to be clear, i enjoyed this and, although i'm not the biggest fan of the franchise, i like res evil. but lets be honest, you cant say there is an idea behind any of the res evil movies. on the contrary, matrix had (for me) the best idea ever, and gave the world never before seen technology in film-making industry. and this is not groundbreaking even in that sector. today everything is in 3d (kind of annoying) and i don't think that for the next few years we will be seeing better 3d movie than avatar (to be clear, for me it is a cartoon with storyline adjusted for 5 year old kid, but hey, it has some effects...). sorry if i wandered from the theme of my comment a little, anyway i think matrix is a class for itself, and i'm not really sure there is a reason to compare these two, but as a huge fan of action and sci-fi genre, nevertheless i'm really glad when i have a chance to see a movie like this one.
