Well I enjoyed the movie and seeing past characters come back, I wish it would have gone a little more in depth..guess I will wait on the next one!! lol
The last three movies were horriable. I'm a resident evil fan and even have an umbrella tatoo to all those dont copy me but how did she get where she was to begin the movie it didnt tie in with the last one. The only good part was we had the chance to see the other charatcers from the gaame and that was SO LONG OVERDUE. It just seems to me that we have a HOLLYWOOD that doesnt care about its movie goers and are to concerned with making a buck. The movies have no plot these days and are just filled with action for all these DEADHEAD movie goers who whould rather spend 20 bucks a person on a movie than helping a homeless person and i know what some of you jerks would say is that they should get a job but times are hard and will get harder as you can tell these movies have no substance because people dont care anymore like the signas of the times. I find myself watching the first two and sometimes the third over and over because they had twist and turns. The people who do this do it only because they know the populace is dead in the head like the zombies they show and write about. HOLLYWOOD IS DEAD and soon will move to cartoon movies and porn because they have no writers who have any brains and they wont give anyone else a chance to write movies for fear of flops but little do they know that these are the same and the great actors are getting old and the new one arent worth watching.
First off, you have bad punctuation all over the place. And not only that, but you have no point. Everything you say is just a run on sentence with bias written all over it. I'm thirteen, and I can write better than you. And who even brought homeless people into the equation? Jeez. You are SLOW. And you suck donkey balls for saying ANY of the Resident Evil series is horrible, which you misspelled.
Wow I finally finished watching this movie took me 4 or 5 X's.....the next by the looks of It is going to be quite the battle..........I liked all these movies ......8/10
For many who have brain cells left after frying them up throughout their burn out years, may as well come to a better judgement or even conclusion that this movie series will not ever follow the game story. Which is fine. This is Milla Jovovichs' version of Resident Evil. After realizing facts and coping with the reality, you will then enjoy the movie series and future installments she has and will put out in theatres. They are not so bad once you implemented in your mind, this is someone else's version of Resident Evil. The latest Batman series is Christopher Nolan's version of the Dark Knight, and many love and many hate it. So will the same ratio exist for this series.
As for a true Resident Evil gamer, myself, I'am somehow sympathetic to the amateur critics becoming negative nancys on these movie installments Milla Jovovich has introduced the world to. I do share the want and need for a movie to actually follow the gameplay and return the creepy, eerie sense of horror that Capcom's Resident Evil series has blessed us with throughout the years. Most I can say to you guys is, don't expect horror from these films, don't expect 'Resident Evil'.. Better to sit back and enjoy a slight thriller, with a beautiful woman. One day a director will spawn and redirect this series with his own taste of horror. Maybe actually follow the storyline, and bring back the still fear you once enjoyed in between the cut scenes when Chris, Jill, etc. opened doors to proceed to another area or those goosebumps up your back when you read the chilling notes left behind by scientists, or civilians.
To end my strong opinion, for those wanting to sit back and enjoy some sci-fi action, this movie isn't bad at all. It was better than some of the previous movies released in this series. Enjoy your food, cuddle with your loved one, and watch Alice's adventure unfold.
I really liked it and if this is just the run up to the next then the next is gonna be AMAZING! Only prob was the new links arnt as good as the old ones :( constant buffering! And also the last like 20 mins let me down coz I didnt want one thing to happen, but thats my preference. Please get old links back!!
Resident Evil is the Cadillac of Zombie/DNA manipulation flicks. True, the scripts & story lines seem to get thinner at times but Alice & the Umbrella Corp. are irresistible day after tomorrow speculative fare. Hardly the best of the lot but Resident Evil fans will like it. Best is Alice, who kicks butt like Alien's Ripley, Trinity in The Matrix and The Terminator's Sarah Conner. There just something perversely sexy about a sleek, well conditioned female dressed for combat and dealing death with both hands. Of course these films are hardly high art forms but nobody expects them to be. We expect awesome FX, slick martial arts and a high body count. If these are you expectations too then this flick won't disappoint.
More like a curtain raiser for what's to come; and if it is a curtain raiser, I'm expecting something epic to follow. This film was given a lot more of a signature style than the previous ones. Straight forward plot with fast paced execution. It reminded me of the film Bunraku; if you liked that film, you should like this one.
This is just my opinion, but movies like these, usually have a very thin plot, but is centered on the action. I didn't have high expectations going into this movie...I came to see the action, which was very good! So, I liked it.

Wow SERIOUSLY??? i can't believe all the negative comments you stupid illiterate people are posting about this movie, if you don't get this movie and how it follows the ones before it, you are definetly slow in some way. It was a awesome movie, and everything fell right into place, ending was great also. Loved it!!! For all the retards umm just give up you obviously are not a resident evil fan and can't follow a simple movie. geez lol

Med Version: Most definitely followed the previous movies...I liked how they tied in previous characters and put a slight twist. This would be perfect for a game format. Games are so much like movies now. I have epic ideas for gamers and movie goers alike; if I can bring my ideas to reality...I'm gonna change the planet.
I've enjoyed the series so far, but this...WTF?? Lots of shooting, bad acting, and confusing story line. I was warned, but I just had to watch it. Sorry I did.
It was awfully bad and one of the worst movie i have seen this year. Didn't know what the hell was going on half the time because nothing is explained, and nothing was accomplished as far as the story is concerned. Some of the action sequences were fun, the 3D was well used. But there aint a denial to the fact that its "The worst movie in the series." A lot of fantastic set pieces and a great start. Unfortunately when it was all over, felt more like a filler episode to get to the conclusion. I want to see the final movie, FOR SURE, however I most likely wont NEITHER watch NOR RECOMMEND this one.
Movies are getting to the point where people are movies just so they can make a quick buck. This is getting ridiculous no decent movies to watch anymore just sequal after sequal and remakes of the old movies with some cg effects and watch the profits come in. I never like the Resident Evil movies.
There is a lot of inconsistency in the story and sheer unbelievability. stunts that defy logic, actors that show up in the weirdest getups. bad acting and a bizzare twist.... it must be time for another awesome resident evil folks !
Resident evil movies are like delicious cotton candy for those with a wicked sweet tooth. who cares if the plot is flimsy and the acting is laughable. That's not why you go to see these movies in the first place. You watch Resident Evil movies because they are fun and for an hour and a half it will keep you entertained, you might even crack a smile once or twice, that qualifies them as perfect escapism to me.
Alice is back and kicking more butt than ever. of course it is kind of strange to see her doing so without any powers and it does make you wonder just how long she can keep it up without being the ultimate weapon. because this time she faces an assortment of baddies from various past episodes. asome of them are armed to the teeth?!!!
The biggest shock is the ending. i kind of thought W.S. Anderson was just winging it and we were going to have 14 more R.E. movies before all is said and done. well at the end it becomes abundantly clear that the series is drawing to a close. A mega battle for the whole planet looms on the horizon. one more game for all the marbles. i for one will be eagerly anticipating the final chapter. they've got me hooked now.
Ok...86 minutes later and the movie sucks. If all the good ideas in hollywood are gone then there is certainly not a loss for bad ones. SPOILER ALERT.....THIS MOVIE SUCKS SHIET. Ok...she is captured.........finds out she is underwater...she must escape to the top through what are initally shown as holigrams and then later explained to be clone creations..some of the creations are old friends....no point in explaining crap....the best part about the movie is Alice throaty gasps as if she is in porn......thank friggin god for this site and those that make it work, had i paid to see this shiet...oh my god put up a metal detector I mean talk about refund.
