The film is good if it was treating the viewer/watcher as a human being . It is good for people who are not connected to reality. They two persons have visited the enemies' city for the first time and the can escape from all people of the city and they know the roads when they were escaping on a car . and they also can fly out of the city lake in their aircraft without no body can stop them ..... why because the film was made in a sn american style to tell the Americans that go ahead and dream that you are HEROES. I wish that there was little bit of reality .
Great cast all the big names of days gone by and a few up to date ones thrown into the mix aswell just glad Segal did`nt show up in it, lads movie all the way crash bang wallop explosions gunfire the lot only no substance plot etc so 5/10.
for people that didnt like it this is what action is all about explosions and kicking ass and winning at the end no matter what and that is exactly what this movie brought so if you didnt like it at least respect other peoples opinions
1.5 MILLION VIEWS O_O I never expected this movie to get so many views. About the movie: I really liked it, if you crave action I would definitely watch this film. However, this movie isn't really great for the emotional and romantic of this world. This movie does have the greatest action movie cast of all time (pretty much ALL of the major classic action movie actors the newer ones like Jason Statham and Jet Li). If you like violence and hardcore action definitely a MUST WATCH My rating: 5/5 on action 5/5 on effects, animations, stunts, etc. and 5/5 on pretty much everything else. I would have loved to see more hot women though (not to complain, I've got porn for that xD)
There are so many things wrong with this movie, terrible script, terrible acting , massive plot holes, it is 2011 not 1982 we should expect more.... i pray to a god i dont believe in that this is the end of this kind of DROSS, please all of you that liked this movie read some books and figure out what a story line is..... i beg you
I mean I can see what you are saying to a degree: this is an action movie. We don't need Natalie Portman-Johnny Depp acting here. You have to remember action is for those who crave big guns, violence, really epic stunts, and nice effects. I believe this movie is 5/5 because it fulfills its role as an action film. And to tell you the truth, I don't believe the cast could've gotten better than this (one of the best acting casts I've seen in my entire life). So, yeah, there are plot holes and in many cases what many perceive as poor acting in this film, but the nice action was all there :)
There are so many things wrong with this movie , terrible script writing, massive plot holes, some dreadful acting, for example scene 1 rescue hostages..... the amount of bullets fired and they didnt hit a single hostage? terrible. i pray to a god i dont believe in that this is the last of this cheap type of movie, it just don't cut it anymore , this is not the eighties
Terrific movie indeed, lots of stars and action to go around as well as how much money it took to make. i give 10/10 and ask that if it were possible please make another Exspendables.
if you want action, this has plenty. the usual shot 'em up, blow 'em up, and kick *ss movie. very cliche, as they do the impossible and the good guys win. worth watching, if its your type...2.5/5.
I was correct...redmuss comments on the movies with negativity in order to hide is insecurities towards the actors that are the movies in general as he comments. example: his comment on unwanted, red riding hood, etc...
For an action movie it was good, and to the haters that say it was horrible get over yourself and learn what the action genre is all about, and that is over the top explosions, moderate to good acting, and a whole lot of violence, this movie met those standards it was good but could of been better.
this is easily one of the worst movies of all time of any type and will remain that way until the end of time.
there is absolutely NO redeeming quality in this sorry excuse for a movie. EVERYTHING about it is just bad and wrong. every scene. every line in every scene. the whole thing is just horribly written and the acting is even worse if thats possible, and the sets and explosions look ridiculously fake.
i feel bad for Bruce for being in this movie he is one of my favorite actors and it breaks my heart to see him in such TRASH.
anyone that liked this movie or has a positive review of this movie is a moron, deserves to never see any movie ever again and should checked for head injuries.

this was the best action movie iv seen for along long time. im not a action movie fan but i loved this. when do you ever get so many top actors all in one. great job 5 stars
This is most definitely the best action movie in a very long time! Stallone did an excellent job scripting this! The storyline is very typical for an action flick, but I don't think there will be another movie in a while that will be this action packed! 9.5/10 because Stallone's character should've got the girl!
But what did I expect... Typical movie where they kill 200 guys and they don't get killed... and I don't think that's a spoiler... A big "bang bang" movie with action stars, and they are all bad actors. But usually they are the star of their respective movies had have supporting cast to save the day... but in this case, THEY are the supporting cast... Just to say, Randy Couture who has little or no acting experience was on par with the other guys.... Basically, you don't care about any of the caracters...
Sounds like action movies just aren't your cup of tea... lol. I think it is probably the best action movie in a very very long time. Yes, it is just another corny action movie, but it's not really the storyline you're looking for in action movies like this. It's the action! lol.

BESIDES THE FACT THAT I THINK THEY SHOULD ADD A COUPLE OF MOMENTS SHARED BETWEEN STALLONE AND THE GIRL, TO BE MORE REAL FOR HIS CARACTER TO RISK HIS LIFE FOR HER ... AND WHY 15 SOLDIERS GET KILLED WITHOUT SHOT A BULLET (37min20)???

i don't like to criticize anything at all but this movie was awesome. anyone who likes action movies they should watch this movies cause it is awesome i give 10/10.
was an ok movie, could have been a lot better though, instead of paying for all those expensive actors they should'a just spent it on a better, more original flik in my opinion, instead of just another run of the mill hollywood action film. I think if it wasn't for the big names this movie wouldn't have got any-where near the press this one did. anyway i give it an average 3/5, worth a watch.

I learned the trick already don't worry it's that I really wanted to see the movie really bad. I am glad it is posted for all to see. Thanks Oh it was worth the wait I loved the action even if most of the actors where old. I loved the knife throwing too. To me this movie was off the hook lol.

Best action film i've seen in a while, some acting is a bit suspect but thats what you expect when you have a film full of brutes doing what they do best. i like how some parts are grim and gory yet they appear to me humerous. so glad i went to the cinema to watch this absoloutly epic!
What a load of self indulgent dog shite,,i found this difficult to watch not because of the quality CHEERS FOR THE UPLOAD but because it was a collection of over the hill action heroes trying to relive there heyday in a very very poorly scripted and acted film,,not only did i not care what they were doing it was actually boring me and continued to bore me til its conclusion,,id suggest u give this a miss guys,,wish some1 would have given me the same advice but just like all us movie buffs i probably wouldnt listen either :) 3/10
Sly knows the genre. He makes essentially the same type movie time after time; and, this time he got it right. He and his cast are fit and full of the the kind of action excitement that only Stallone can pull off.
