boring and depressing true life rubbish about a guy who lived in cuckoo land thinking he knocked down sugar ray leonard once lol. go watch original fight - he pushed him over his feet. i like mark walberg but god this was shite. 0/10

Good movie , for all of you who say bale made this movie, i think more credit goes into the cast melding with each other. many well-born actors in this one, definatly a great showing. Bale just produced the melodramatic role that isnt his norm.
It was a good movie to just watch. Im a big RockyForeverFan but this movie was good. Christian Bale was amazing. The guy owned this movie. Mark Walhberg was cool and so was the rest of the cast.
this was just a fantastic movie for me anyway... CB is unbelievably great in this and the rest of the cast is great but for sure this movie is stolen by CB wow...and to mr artypants well of course its predictable its made from a true story and if you like boxing and have a brain then you know the outcome before you even watch the dang movie sheesh some ppl are unbelievable....but i give this two big thumbs up and a must watch for anyone who likes a feel good story that is TRUE ;o)
Movie of the year. Mark Whalberg's performance as Irish Mickey Ward deserves an Academy Award. Christien Beal as his brother steals the show. Give it 5/5
Pardon the pun, but 'slow moving' and predictable. It did not matter that the link stopped working at 65 minutes or so, because it was going the same route as dozens of other movies about 'poor boxer who makes good', blah blah. It is a pity that it could not have had more atmosphere, or something... Shame, cos I like boxing and was perhaps expecting too much. A good watch if you want a feel good factor I guess.
Do you believe that CB adds and drops weight like he's got some remote control? His character was believable and he pulled that off good. Oscar nomination!
