I never really easily get fazed or awed by any movies out there, but this movie had something in it that kept you on the edge, now there wasn't any element of surprise or anything of that sort but the pace of the movie in itself was amazing.
Now you have two great legendary actors Denzel Washington and John Travolta, that in itself gives this movie an edge over all the retarded stuff thats around. The acting, the screen play, the editing, the pace of the movie everything is amazing and over the top.
Now coming to the story, there is nothing great, like many of the Hollywood "Hijack-stories" we all know whats gonna happen to the bad guys. So everything is predictable. The story gets a little retarded in terms of how cops and emergency teams such as SWAT handle the hijack situation, I mean in real life I think you take down hijackers along with minimal civilian casualties and in this story you get to see some non-sensical stuff and that was frustrating at least to me it was.
I give this movie an 8.99/10 just because the story was weak and there is a lot left to the viewers to interpret. I say watch it just because of Denzel Washington and John Travolta because they really light up the screen with sheer talent of amazing acting.
