It was good. Expected more from a Jolie/Depp duo. It felt a little one note, to me. It needed more action! The background music was weirdly whimsical all throughout and made the movie seem silly. Great Copy. Worth a watch.
I LOVE THIS MOVIE! Great plot twists - this movie is COMPLETELY unpredictable and a must-watch thriller/romance/action/suspense/etc. This movie has such a great plot! 5/5 for great cast 5/5 for acting 5/5 for everything and Venice was beautiful!
In a year of craptaculars, The Tourist deserves burial at the bottom of the 2010 dung heap. The scenery and the stars are undeniably beautiful, but they can't make up for The Tourist's slow, muddled plot, or the lack of chemistry between Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie.
It was good but Unfortunately I figured it out halfway through so it sort of ruined the end for me but I still liked it. Angelina is just gorgeous. Brad you lucky dog. Or perhaps luck had nothing to do with it. I say possible spoiler alert because saying *I figured it out halfway through* might give it away for some people 3/5
film's ok, might as well watch it. Dont read any of the comments below though because some lovely helpful people decided to give away the twist and the ending. Doh.
It was okay which is hard to say about such an amazing actor as Johnny Depp. I knew he was Piecer because it was so damn obvious. Its a predictable movie. Most people would only watch it becasue of Depp and Jolie. Anyway 2/5
Guess what, the moment when johny appearce on the screen, i knew it was him as Pierce. I knew because it was obvious for me to guess, i knew coz it was obvious for me to imagine Johny as Pierce. But a good watch, as watching johny on the screen is pleasure and he is a class actor. A must watch for Johny fans and for those who are just likely to be the fan of johny depp. Cheers.
Don't get me wrong i'm not a "hater critic",........... but GOD! No character development, No original plot, No sense!
I think that they figured it could be an awesome casting of EYE candy but incredibly nothing could be further from the case (Jolie looked haggard and thin and Depp pudgy and unkempt). The Main villain had the premiss of greatness but must have been cut short due to lack of great villains to plagiarize or poor editing I'm SORRY to rant but this movie could have been great. 4/10...
Jolie and Depp makes the best fake couple of the year. That movie was good in some part, but it needed something more. What did it need, I don't know, I'm not the one making money to figure it out, but if that guy did his job, maybe this movie would not have been such a failure in theaters!
this movie is awasome lol at the end jonney deep turns our to be the main guy i was like wtf but the story is awasome though he was just testing his girl :P
I loved it and those who did not are not very romantic - I love Love Johnny Depp a little heavier? and not looking physically fit and the role - WOW He has such a presence in every movie I've seen him in - it was strange to see him portray a week average man - but if you want to work with Angelina Joli you should be so lucky, right ? It's nice to see her elegant side and proves to our young ladies out there that they are much more desirable with clothes that don't completely give it a way. The longer the courtship 'NOT living together' the stronger the union will be. Anyway, the movie reminded me of the 40's/50's movies with Audrey Hepburn - Cary Grant - Catherine Hepburn - Betty Davis - Humphrey Bogart in those adventure field with romance, laughter and Love - ya movies in those days men were men and women were running the show... neh ! just kidding. Refreshing even though there was some shooting in the movie - they kept it at a minimal. Remember who your audience is RED - Retired and Extremely Dangerous ! Keep it in mind. So, watch this movie hot old fashioned romance. 10 10
Pretty good movie. It ket me intersted, but I knew there was going 2 be a twist, & it wasn't hard to figure out what it would be...& I was right. 3.5 or 4/5
Okay movie, a bit slow but the story moved along well. Angelina and Johnny make a good couple, move over Brad! Loved Mr Fox but you don't win them all honey!
No way! Brad & Angelina had serious chemistry on screen in Mr & Mrs Smith, it was hard for them to hide it! I think Angelina was trying to duplicate that same intensity with Johnny Depp in The Tuorist, trying to be the ultimate seductive temptress, but she doesn't quite pull it off, not like she did with Brad...she & Johnny are both great actors, but you can tell that's all they are doing, is their job-acting- NOT actually falling in love with each other during the making of the movie.
