This film is completely uncommitted, far too many A list actors - trying to shine in an important film in 90 min. Soderbergh is one of the best directors out there - but this is not a convincing effort - centered on the threat posed by a deadly disease - if it was meant to inform - or to scare - it did neither. it reminds me of the tired disaster films - one actor has a line - its happening in Tokyo, Egypt New Zealand - but you never see it - cut to America - fail
2 Academy award winning actors - Is there any Botox left in the bottle - Jesus... this is sad - I mean why didn't they go off and make nice little independent films - I know cage has some appetites and Kidman what a beauty she used to be - has been lost since Cruise - Ah the ego's of stars - the only person likely to come out on top is the 20 year old chick playing a 15 year old - gotta be another vampire script out there somewhere... Contrived, unbelievable on any level - even the house is terrible - Where is Bruce Willis when you need him.
A surprisingly entertaining film. Cage seems to take any film he his offered, and usually with bad results. ( Drive Angry and all the rest ) However he takes a supporting role in this and lets the story tell the tale. Nicole Kidman does much the same. This film would be much, much better if we saw people with no equity, which would help the viewer engage with the story line alot more. Overall though it's gotta be 8.5 outta 10. A good film.
Plenty of suspense and twists. Nicole Kidman acts very well as always.. Cage puts in a good performance too. Acting and script are both above average.. Not the usual cliche garbage in that there's a little more thought gone that has into the plotline.. Not too much gore either thank god..
