I think this movie gave us a good glance into upper-class teens social setting of America. I thought it was a great plot, but with alittle more effort and a little more subtance it could have been Oscar worthy.
Before watching the movie, i read the comments and thought "This would be boring", anyway i watched it and I think is an excellent movie, maybe not in the sense of filming, performanca (even if it is good), but I liked it, how white mike world collapses and then he found his true love and try to solve everything (in a way).
YOU SAY IT WAS BORING BECAUSE YOU COULDN'T UNDERSTAND THE SEQUENCE OF EVENTS. A YOUNG MAN LOSES HIS MOM AND HIS WHOLE WORLD COLLAPSES, YET HE LIVES ON. A YOUNG WOMAN LOSES HER VIRGINITY FOR SOME GET HIGH. A MANIPULATIVE TEEN WHO FEELS POWER IN USING WEAK MEN (BOYS IN THIS CASE). A YOUNG MAN WHO HATES HIS MOTHER YET TAKES HIS ANGER OUT ON HIS BROTHER. AND TWO YOUNG GUYS SEARCHING FOR INDENTITY. VERY POWERFUL. IF YOUR FROM THE HOOD (BROOKLYN) LIKE I'M FROM...YOU'D UNDERSTAND....
