Jasin and his vampire brood's time is running out. In order for them to survive, Jasin needs to find a mortal to turn into a vampire to spend eternity with. Los Angeles provides plenty of young candidates. The brood has their eyes set on Tara, a young, gorgeous blond college student. Tara is open to the idea of becoming a vampire, but someone else enters the picture to disrupt the brood's plans. Caleb, a fresh face college student new to Los Angeles, keeps dreaming of a mysterious stranger. At school, Caleb meets the stranger, Jasin, and they have an instant connection. The problem is that time is short, and Jasin needs to convince Caleb that eternity as a vampire can be a very sweet life..
I skipped through some could'nt bare to watch anymore...the men were ok looking but I like real men ...meaning..very masculan men..not pretty boys..1/10
damn they shoulda shown the guys f-ing d-ck... they showed the d-cks of the guys that got killed lol... the only good thing about the movie were the hot guys :) lol... but the movie overall was really wack, uninteresting plotline, horrible dialogue... and this was twilight all over again... but just cuz this one was actually gay... i liked it much better than twilight :) lol...
The guys were hot, and I have nothing against gay movies, but the acting was so bad, I laughed through half and groaned through the rest. Really bad acting! If you're looking for scary, its not this movie! Well maybe just the acting...
Not my cup of tea I must say. Not much blood or gore, kind of reminded me of a Gay version of Twilight or something along that line. Not scary at all. The acting wasnt that good either, in my opinion. 2/10
I was honestly excited by the description of the story. It's rare to see that the lead love interest in a story like this is in fact male. Now my excitement soon waned the minute the movie began with the wandering and frantic female, just because I saw the cinematography wasn't up to my usual high quality standards and bumped this movie down to a Grade C immediately. It did, in fact, resemble something shot on an extremely low budget in random public locations. This MIGHT have been saved if they had invested in their acting skills and a few details to make it just a bit better but that was overlooked and left me disappointed.
A few nuances about the acting that particularly annoyed me was the fact that the character did nothing but "tell" everything and showed very little. When they are sunbathing in the yard they even go so far as to say (paraphrasing), "Thank god that myth about vampires and the sun is just that." Okay dipwad. I can see clearly that it's a myth. Do you think the audience is so inept and dense not to see the obvious and make those conclusions on their own? They really underestimated their viewers' IQ.
Now the characters...I also hated how the male "antagonist" constantly talked as if he was from the 1600s. I can understand that the character is "old" and from way back in the day but he has had plenty of time to modernize his vocabulary by contracting. I'm sure that even existed back then. He was also very cliched which is okay but it went to the extreme. I could have stomached his character if it wasn't SO over-dramatized. He had his good points at certain points where his characterization worked but that didn't make up for all the problems. He actually seemed a bit more realistic towards the end of the movie. Oh and he reminded me of Captain Kirk a little throughout the movie. Bah!
The thing that annoyed me most about he male protagonist wasn't that he was overtly homosexual in his mannerisms but that he fidgeted non-freaking-stop and I found myself unsympathetic to him. He started making me uncomfortable the more I watched him. The character I think I liked the most or seemed the most realistic was Logan (He was the lesser of the two evils I think). His acting seemed sincere and I could actually feel the emotion he was trying to convey (in some scenes) and he didn't over-act (sometimes). He made the growly voice work except there was one scene where he and Jasin were talking where I was just like...."Oh my god please stop, please please please stop!" The awkward pauses between words trying to make the scene intense and the way they avoided eye contact just made it enraging. Oh and let me not even mention some of the weird faces that were made during this scene. Grr. Anyhoo....
Now the story itself was somewhat interesting although I just could not see how it could be the MAIN storyline of the movie. The whole thing was about the male antagonist finding his soul-mate so he could continue to live forever with his vamp buddies. It wouldn't have hurt to have another subplot involved with a bit of action. This explains why it only was 1 hour and 10 minutes long. The initial premise is interesting but they couldn't make it interesting enough with just THAT plotline that they seemed to have.
Another thing that left me disappointed was the way it was directed. There were some good scenes that were set up but then there were others that left me like, "What the heck?!" The awkward scenes and how they faded out really had me scrunching my brow or rolling me eyes and fast forwarding through a lot of it. The music didn't fit the scene or it was sometimes WAY too flowery for the moment so it just seemed disjointed.
What attracted me originally was the premise and the fact that it was romance between a male protagonist and male antagonist in a vampire setting. The cover art also attracted me- I'm a sucker for man-candy. Once I was sucked in it was a roller coaster through hell and heaven at the same time. There were some gems of good scenes but they were hidden in a pile of bad ones.
Sadly I must give this a 2/10 stars. Nice idea, nice cover art, a few good scenes, and a lot of good man-candy. If you want a good idea then think of it like a step up above soft-porn on an HBO channel.
to be honest it was kinda great to me. the part that creeped me out is how less blood they have in the pic. i expected so much blood like one of my favorite shows called true blood. this is not a horror. more of a romance. 4/5
Being female I did enjoy the eye candy! I would not recommend this to anyone who feels the least bit homophobic. It's an ok movie, the things that bring it down aren't the fact that they're gay, it would be the same if a female had been "the one" It's just not a great movie. It was fun and it helped me waste some time, decent one time watch but thats all. 2/5
very interesting have never watched a vampire like that n it was short i wonder if some of these guys are like G*y in real life if not they did an awesome job acting the end with the whole kill the vampire thing in the old time black n white vampire movies it is much more exciting .more action i would not recomend this movie unless the person is G
